Old Country Chimney Cake

Babka

Babka is a sweet, braided bread that originated in the Jewish communities of Poland. During the late 19th century emigrants from Europe took Babka with them to the United States where it became a fixture in Jewish bakeries.  It's made from a sweet, yeasted dough that's enriched with eggs and butter. Variations are chocolate, cinnamon-apple and vanilla berries.
