Hungarian Crêpes
In Europe, the crêpe is known thanks to the Roman Empire. The first known recipes originate from the 15th century, while the first recipe in Hungarian language originates from the 16th century. The crêpe was a dish eaten before Lent and then generally filled with meat that people were not allowed to eat until Easter. Hungarian crêpes are similar to French crêpes, typically rolled and stuffed with sweet fillings. We put Nutella, strawberry jam or peach jam in our crêpes.
